Flick Stoeckeler is an Australian Visual Artist and Veterinarian based on Kangaroo Island, South Australia.
Flick creates expressive artworks that blend realism with imaginative elements, with a special place in her heart for capturing the personality of dogs.
Flick's lifelong artistic journey has grown from spending her spare time sketching, to producing custom portraits, logos, murals, and landscapes. She practices across a range of media including digital drawing, watercolour, ink, coloured pencil, and acrylic paints.
Animals and the natural world are a dominant theme in her artwork, as well as in her personal and professional life. Flick studied Visual Arts and Crafts through TafeWA in her late teens, followed by Art History, Zoology, and Veterinary Medicine in her 20s. Now in her 30s, she enjoys a softer balance of making art between stints of locum vet work Australia-wide.
This commitment to both artistic and scientific endeavours has led to the development of a distinctive style characterised by intricate details, anatomical accuracy, fluid dynamics, topography, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
